(LINCOLN, Neb.) – In just a few days, people are going to be able to travel around downtown a little bit faster, thanks to scooters.
Lincoln Transportation and Utilities held a safety demonstration this afternoon in the Haymarket. Folks could ride Spin and Bird scooters in a designated area.
Scooter vendors will determine pricing for the year-long project when it begins and paying will be made easy through an app.
” Were deploying scooters as part of a pilot program this upcoming Tuesday in downtown Lincoln,” said Mark Lujeharms, LTU. “So today in association with the farmer’s market, we’re inviting people out to test ride the scooters and learn more about the operation and promote safety.”
The pilot program kicks off on Tuesday, making scooters available to Lincolnites.
