A picture of a woman wearing a T-Rex costume at a Nebraska wedding have gone viral on social media.
Christina Meador posted a photo of herself wearing the costume on Facebook last month. In the post, Meador says “When you’re maid of honor and told you can wear anything you choose… I regret nothing.”
Since then, her post has been shared more than 37,000 times, and picked up by news outlets and websites across the country including ABC’s Good Morning America and Strahan and Sara.
Meador’s sister, Deanna Adams who lives in Omaha with her husband Joby, was on-board with the outfit. She posted a screenshot of a text message exchange between her and Meador where she gives her approval of the T-Rex costume.
Joby Adams told Channel 8 Eyewitness News Meador brought the costume with her all the way from Texas. He said it was a “big game of chicken” between her and Deanna to see if she would actually wear it to the ceremony.
Adams said attendees were surprised to see the T-Rex costume, but that many of them loved it and were laughing about it.
Despite some on social media saying the costume took away from the bride and groom on their big day, Adams said they wouldn’t have had it any other way.
