Mail-in and online registration for Nebraska voters is due Friday for General Election

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The deadline for mail-in and online voter registration is Friday for the Nov. 8th General Election.

Any Nebraska resident who will be 18 on or before Nov. 8 who has moved, changed their name or would like to change their political party affiliation is encouraged to register.

Mail-in registration forms must be postmarked no later than Friday.

Registration forms are available at most post offices, banks, and libraries.  Forms can also be downloaded and printed off from the election commissioner’s website.

Friday is also the deadline to register to vote when applying for a driver’s license, state identification card or at any government agency.

Nebraska residents with a valid Nebraska driver’s license or state identification card may also register online. Online voter registration must be completed no later than midnight on Friday.

Residents may register to vote in person at the Election Commissioner’s office, 601 North 46th Street, Lincoln, NE  68503 through Oct. 28.
