LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Police arrested Michael Daniels on Thursday after they say he spray-painted almost a dozen businesses.

We’re told this began at 8:46 p.m. around the 600 block of P Street.

Authorities say the 28-year-old matched a description they were given of the vandal.

LPD tells us he took off running when officers tried to contact him, and then spit in the face of one of them.

Daniels continued to cause problems, according to police, who say he also spit on a sergeant as they tried to put a spit sock over his head.

He’s since been cited and released for obstructing a peace officer, disturbing the peace, and 11 charges of criminal mischief.

Police say the graffiti consisted of wavy lines on doors, walls, windows, and proximity sensors.
