Man accused of threatening to kill roommate at knifepoint

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man is accused of attacking his roommate with a knife after reported daily disagreements.

Around 12:30 am on Monday, Lincoln Police responded to a residence near N 27th and Holdrege Streets.

The victim said one of his roommates, 29-year-old Christopher Snyder, had threatened to kill him with a knife. The victim stated that he was watching TV in the basement when Snyder approached him with the knife. He feared for his life as he and Snyder have a history of not getting along.

The victim and a third roommate were able to trap Snyder behind the basement door and barricade themselves in. However, they say Snyder kept trying to get through the door by using the knife and hitting it.

Officers say they found Snyder with a knife hanging around his neck, concealed in a neck gaiter. Two more knives were also found near Snyder in the living room.

Snyder was arrested for terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
