Man extricated from truck after two-vehicle crash in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A driver was trapped inside his truck after a two-vehicle crash in Lincoln on Monday.

The crash happened at the intersection of 56th and Vine Streets around 12:20 p.m.

When Lincoln Fire and Rescue crews arrived, they found an SUV in the intersection and a truck on its side in a nearby parking lot.

Police are unsure of how the crash happened and an investigation is ongoing.

Crews then extricated the driver of the truck, who was trapped inside.

Both drivers involved in the crash were taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to a fire chief at the scene.

Westbound Vine Street was closed for about 45 minutes as crews responded to the crash.
