Man injured in north Lincoln after forklift accident 

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A close call for a man in north Lincoln after his ankle was pinned between a forklift and some rack storage.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue were called to a medical emergency near north 56th and Cornhusker around 5:45 p.m. Thursday evening.

“A gentleman was working a forklift and somehow his ankle slipped out and got pinned between the fork lift and some rack storage, Captain Jim Bopp of LFR said. “Eventually, he called for help and we were called in. We responded with a full rescue alarm.”

The man was rushed to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities did not identify the individual who was hurt.
