Man injured when pickup truck crashes into Camping World in Council Bluffs
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A pickup truck crashed into a Council Bluffs, Iowa, business Monday morning, police say.
Around 11:15 a.m., first responders were sent to Camping World near 24th Street and Interstate 80 after a pickup drove through the building.
When crews arrived, they found that a Ford F-150 had driven over the curb and into the building.
The truck struck a worker, who was sitting behind a desk, according to police.
He was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The elderly driver of the pickup did not have any injuries, police said.
A local towing company pulled the vehicle out of the building, which had damage to its “nonstructural” support metal studs, according to police.
The cause of the crash is unknown, and an investigation is ongoing.
