Man loses thousands of dollars in tools after thief breaks into semi in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man is out thousands of dollars after his truck’s toolbox was plundered.

Lincoln Police say officers were called to the T.O. Haas Tire on 24th and O Streets on Tuesday morning.

A man told police that his semi was parked at the Holiday Inn on Amber Hill Court and that he noticed the toolbox was damaged when he got to the tire shop.

When he opened the box, the man found that all of his tools were missing. A spool of wire was also missing from the semi.

Police estimate the loss at $4,293, and they think roughly 20 tools were taken.
