The first report of graffiti was at an apartment complex near 11th and H Streets around 9 a.m.

Hearts and the words “love” and “I love you” were spray-painted on the exterior walls, police said.

Just down the road at Lincoln Lock & Safe, officers found similar designs sprayed across the building’s exterior.

Police described the vandal, who was seen on surveillance video, as a 25-to-35-year-old white man with a long, dark-colored beard.

An estimated $1,000 in damage was done to the buildings, according to police.
