Man struck three with bat in fight over spilled drink at Lincoln bar, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man hit three people with a baseball bat during a fight over a spilled drink at a Lincoln bar on Sunday, police say.

Before 2:00 a.m., a fight started between three men and 29-year-old Jetmir Memeti at The Bar, located near 17th and P Streets.

A fistfight began after a drink was “dumped” on one of the victims, according to police.  All four men were eventually kicked out of the bar.

Once outside, police say Memeti grabbed a bat out of his car and struck each of the victims.

One of the victims was hit and the head and was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries that were not-life threatening.

About 20 minutes later, officers found Memeti at his home and arrested him on suspicion of second-degree assault and the use of a weapon to commit a felony.
