Man suffers life-threatening injuries after stabbing in north Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a stabbing near a north Lincoln apartment complex, police say.

The stabbing happened around 5:28 p.m. on Tuesday near 1st Street and Cornhusker Highway, according to Lincoln Police.

Officers were made aware of a fight between a group in the complex’s parking lot.  They were also told that someone was armed with a knife, police say.

When officers arrived, they found a 39-year-old man with a stab wound.

Police say officers rendered aid to the man before he was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 15-year-old girl was also taken to a hospital after she was pushed to the ground during the fight.

At this time, no arrests have been made.  Police say there is no threat to the public.
