Man suspected of armed robbery in South Sioux City arrested

The Nebraska State Patrol says investigators and the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office, along with the United States Marshals violent offender task force, arrested a man suspected of an armed robbery South Sioux City earlier this month.

On Friday, August 2nd, the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office investigated an armed robbery that happened near Atokad Park in South Sioux City.

The investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for 19-year-old Alex Ramirez, of South Sioux City.

During the investigation, Ramirez was seen traveling from Jackson to South Sioux City, last Friday.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Ramirez has been lodged in Dakota County Jail for robbery, use of a weapon to commit a felony, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
