Man wanted in 2 counties put up fight when Grand Island officer found him, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Grand Island Police officer had his hands full when a man tried to flee from arrest last weekend.
Police said Kelvin Macedo was seen in a car associated with a missing and endangered person, causing officers to perform a traffic stop.
The officer thought Macedo was acting suspicious, according to a press release, and tried to remove him from the car.
After being taken out of the car, tried to flee.
Police say the officer got a cut on his elbow and had his clothing torn during the arrest.
Macedo was arrested on charges of obstructing a police officer and assaulting an officer, among others.
He was also found to have active warrants for his arrest out of Adams and Clay Counties.
