Meet Linus, available now at Capital Humane Society

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Matt Madcharo, executive director of the Capital Humane Society, came to the Channel 8 studio on Wednesday with an introverted kitten.

Linus, a 6-month-old medium-haired orange tabby, is “a little bit of a shy guy,” Madcharo said. So he would do best in a quiet home without young children.

He’s currently available for adoption at the shelter, so stop by the Pieloch Adoption Center to meet him.

For those hoping to wear some Capital Humane Society swag, you’re in luck.

It has short-sleeve and long-sleeve T-shirts available to order.

This is the first of five designs it will be dropping throughout the year.

All proceeds go straight to the shelter, and the money made from each shirt covers the cost of microchipping a pet before they’re available for adoption.

Those looking to help the humane society can donate money or items (a wish list is posted on Amazon) or volunteer to walk the dogs and socialize the cats.
