Meet Raleigh and Makayla, shorthair kittens at Capital Humane Society

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time to meet two new pets up for adoption at the Capital Humane Society.

Executive Director Matt Madcharo stopped by the Channel 8 studio with two adoptable kittens.

Raleigh and Makayla are domestic shorthairs, around 5 months old, who were brought in as lost kittens but were never claimed.

You can visit these two at the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center at 6500 S. 70th St.

For those hoping to wear some humane society swag, you’re in luck.

It has short-sleeve and long-sleeve T-shirts available to order.

This is the first of five designs the shelter be dropping this year.

The money made from each shirt covers the humane society’s cost of microchipping a pet before it’s available for adoption.

Those looking to help the shelter can donate money or items (a wish list is posted on Amazon) or volunteer to walk the dogs and socialize the cats.
