LPD: Men attacked by stranger with machete

One man was injured in the attack.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police say two men were attacked by another man with a machete.

It happened around 1 a.m. on Tuesday near 10th and G streets. The two men tell police they were outside drinking, when the unknown man approached them.

The unknown man began to swing the machete at the two men, leaving one of the men with serious lacerations on his wrist, leg and back.

The other man was not injured in the attack and was able to call an ambulance for his friend, and was able to convince the suspect to leave.

Both males did not recognize the assailant with the machete, so no arrests have been made.

Lincoln Police are still investigating the incident.
