Task forces arrests 3, seizes 3.5 pounds of meth
Three people were arrested and more than three pounds of meth has been recovered following a months-long narcotics investigation.
The Lincoln Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force served two search warrants resulting in the arrests.
On Tuesday, authorities arrested Jeremiah Burkhart, 38, for possession of meth with intent to deliver. Investigators reportedly found 879 grams (nearly two pounds) of meth and a handgun in his possession.
The task force also served a search warrant at 254 Garber Avenue, a home authorities say Burkhart shared with a woman identified as Dusty Huey, 21. Investigators seized 3.7 grams of meth at the home and arrested Huey for possession of a controlled substance.
Another search warrant was served at 1003 West Nance Avenue, where authorities say another 221 grams of meth, 7.6 grams of heroin, 27 grams of cocaine, prescription medications, scales, pipes, and baggies were located. Anna Chernyy, 23, was taken into custody following the search.
The total amount of meth seized totaled to be around 3.5 pounds, police said.
