Mild today and tomorrow, then temperatures plunge 1/17/2022

The new work week is off to a chilly start with temperatures in the 20s this morning and wind chill values in the teens. With temperatures this cold, slick roadways are a concern this morning after all of the melting we saw yesterday. Any snow that melted yesterday likely froze again overnight and frost developed on cars left out overnight. Make sure to add some extra time to your morning routine and use caution while driving. Temperatures quickly warm above average today, back into the upper 40s and low 50s with mostly sunny skies. Partly cloudy skies return tonight with temperatures in the mid-20s, but tomorrow we see our last big warm up for the week. Highs soar into the mid to upper 50s tomorrow with a cold front sinking through the area during the afternoon. This will bring a big temperature drop going into Wednesday and the rest of the week. Highs will be in the teens and twenties before we see the 30s return for the weekend.
