Minor breaks in to Dawes Middle School

Around 10 p.m. Tuesday, a maintenance worker at Dawes Middle School heard the sound of glass breaking.

Upon inspection, he found a male juvenile had broken a window into a classroom.

He told the child to sit down until police arrived, but the boy fled.

Lincoln Police found the boy at his home and he was referred to the county attorney’s office.

Nothing else was taken or vandalized at the school.
