Missing juvenile found safe in traffic stop by Seward County K9 unit; Ohio man arrested

Authorities say a 14-year-old girl reported missing and endangered out of San Diego was found with an Ohio man during a traffic stop in Seward County on Thursday.

The Seward County Sheriff’s Office said a K9 unit stopped a vehicle that matched the description of one associated with the missing teen, and deputies were able to confirm the girl’s identity.

The driver, Devin A. Johnson, 26, of Lyndhurst, Ohio, was arrested for child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a child. Authorities say Lyndhurst was taking the girl to Ohio, and that the two did not know eachother.

I’ve Got a Name, a Lincoln non-profit that fights human trafficking, is assisting authorities as they continue their investigation.
