Monday Winter Mix 1/18/2021

Temperatures are mild this morning across the area, as most of us are sitting in the 20s and 30s instead of the teens like normal. Mostly cloudy conditions are also dominating most of the sky around the area and a winter mix is possible. You could see a mix or a few snow flurries during your morning commute, so be prepared to use your windshield wipers. This winter precipitation will continue off and on throughout the day, with most accumulation taking place in northeast Nebraska. Our viewing area will mainly see a dusting if anything. Highs will top out in the upper 30s today with a warming trend continuing into Wednesday. Most of the area will see highs in the low 50s come Wednesday before temperatures drop into the weekend ahead of a new storm system.

  • TODAY: Temperatures will be a bit cooler today with mostly cloudy skies. A winter mix and snow flurries are likely throughout the day today, with minor accumulation on grassy surfaces. HIGH: 38
  • TUESDAY: We start to warm up again with highs in the low 40s and mostly sunny skies. HIGH: 40
  • WEDNESDAY: The best day of the week! Highs will be in the low 50s with sunny skies. HIGH: 50
  • THURSDAY: Still mild with highs in the mid-40s and mostly sunny skies. HIGH: 45
  • FRIDAY: Partly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 30s. HIGH: 38
