LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- Shipping deadlines to receive packages in time for the holidays are coming up fast.

For the USPS, December 15 is the recommended date to send items by retail ground service to ensure delivery by Christmas. The cut-off for first class mail is two days later on December 17. Priority mail has a deadline of December 18.

Regular FedEx ground has a deadline of December 15. FedEx has a variety of other shipping options with deadlines between December 21 and 24.

UPS suspended its service guarantee this year for all shipments, but does offer recommendations to use when shipping so your packages have the best chance of arriving on time. UPS’ dates range from December 21 to the 23.

Retailers are offering their own deadlines for holiday shipping. Anything from Best Buy to Walmart and Target all have speedy services to get you items the next day. Target even offers free same-day delivery.
