More record breaking warmth 12/9/2020

Temperatures are on the mild side this morning as most of southeast Nebraska is sitting in the 30s with mostly clear skies. You will still want the light jacket for the morning, but later today you might be able to change into shorts! Highs will quickly warm into the mid-60s by the afternoon and evening and several cities could break more high temperature records today. Make sure to get outside and enjoy the warmth today, because temperatures drop tomorrow and into the weekend. Highs return to normal for December in the 30s, and snow is in the forecast for the second half of the week.

  • TODAY: The last warm day with highs in the mid-60s! HIGH: 65THURSDAY: Temperatures cool down to the low 50s with partly cloudy skies. HIGH: 53
  • FRIDAY: Highs return to average in the 30s with a chance for precipitation. Rain will transition to snow throughout the day. HIGH: 38
  • SATURDAY: A few lingering snow showers in the morning with chilly highs in the 30s again. HIGH: 35
  • SUNDAY: Mostly sunny skies with highs in the 30s. HIGH: 38
