More sunshine, and turning warmer

Cloud cover persists into Tuesday morning. Unlike Monday, we’ll eventually get rid of the cloud cover. By Tuesday afternoon, skies will turn mostly sunny.

It will be a nice day overall, with high temperatures in the mid to upper-70s in Lincoln. The wind also won’t be an issue, with northerly winds under 10 mph all day long.

Tuesday Forecast

On Wednesday, we’ll make a run for the 80s. While central and eastern Nebraska sees mostly sunny skies all day, we will be watching some thunderstorm development in western Nebraska during the afternoon. These will push into central Nebraska on Wednesday night.

Stormcast Wednesday Night

These storms will arrive in eastern Nebraska as we head into Thursday. We have adjusted the timeline of the precipitation from Monday morning’s forecast, as there could be some storms in the area through the day on Thursday.

Stormcast Thursday Afternoon

Thursday is likely Lincoln’s next opportunity to see any sort of rain. We’re otherwise mostly dry for the next seven days, with a mix of 70s and 80s for highs.
