More sunshine on Wednesday
After a few days with flurries abound, we should see a lot more sunshine on Wednesday. That said, Lincoln will be fairly close to an area of low clouds to the north and east. If any of those clouds can drift overhead, a flurry or two can’t be ruled out.
Despite that small chance, sunshine should dominate during the afternoon. It will still be cold and breezy, with highs in the low to mid-30s. Afternoon wind chills will likely be stuck in the 20s.
Temperatures will drop quickly after sunset. We’ll be seeing our coolest temperatures of the night on Wednesday evening. Clouds will arrive late Wednesday, and we’ll probably be looking at temperatures slowly rising through the night.
With the increase in clouds, we also expect an increase in flurry chances for Thursday. This isn’t looking like anything significant, primarily just something pretty to look at.
The air will get even chillier on Friday. Lows on Thursday night may dip into the single-digits, with afternoon highs on Friday in the upper-20s to low-30s.
This weekend we’ll warm up steadily day by day. We’re talking 30s on Saturday and 40s on Sunday. By next week, even the 50s may return!
