More than 800 cases reported for Thanksgiving, Black Friday

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Over Thanksgiving and Black Friday, Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) announces 804 new coronavirus cases, bringing the community total to 16,125. Of these new cases, 389 were confirmed on Thanksgiving, and 415 were reported Friday.

Reported recoveries increased to 5,091, while the total number of deaths remains at 73.

This week’s positivity rate is 29.1%.

In Nebraska, a total of 931 people are actively hospitalized with the virus.

Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, shortness of breath, repeated shaking with chills, repeated muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell. If you have symptoms, please get tested. Testing is now open to all Lancaster County residents by appointment only.
