More Veterans can now get vaccinated against COVID-19

OMAHA, Neb. (KLKN) — The Department of Veterans Affairs Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System (VA NWIHCS) is opening its COVID-19 vaccination efforts to more Veterans at their Omaha, Grand Island, and Lincoln sites.

Starting this week, vaccination clinics will be open to Vets of all ages, who are eligible to receive VA health care.

VA NWIHCS vaccination clinics happened Monday through Friday on the Omaha, Grand Island, and Lincoln campuses. While the Omaha VA Medical Center holds clinics on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.

Weekly clinics are held at the North Platte and Holdrege VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinics.

Veterans who are interested in registering for care at the VA should visit https://www.va.gov/health-care/apply/application/introduction.
