Mother arrested in death of 22-month-old child, Lincoln Police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The mother of a 22-month-old boy who died last week has been arrested, Lincoln Police say.

Brittany Cook, 30, was arrested early Tuesday morning on suspicion of child abuse resulting in death.  She is the second person to be arrested in connection with the child’s death.

Last Friday, the child died from his injuries, and police arrested 32-year-old Joshua Tackett on suspicion of child abuse resulting in death.

He was already lodged in the Lancaster County Jail on felony gun charges.
