Mother-son duo arrested in ongoing narcotics investigation, Lincoln Police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A mother and her teenage son were arrested on Thursday in connection with an ongoing narcotics investigation, Lincoln Police say.

Around 2:30 p.m., officers with the Lincoln Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force and the Lincoln Police Department SWAT Team delivered a search warrant to a home near 30th and U Streets.

Inside the home, officers found 3.71 pounds of marijuana, over $69,000 cash, various drug paraphernalia with methamphetamine residue and a bulletproof vest.  

Miyuki Gonzales, 36, was arrested on suspicion of possession of money with a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance (meth) and possession with intent to deliver. 

Gonzales had three outstanding warrants for her arrest.  She was also cited on suspicion of two counts of child abuse.

Kaeylab Gonzales, 18, was arrested on suspicion of possession of money with a controlled substance.  He was also cited on suspicion of possession with intent to deliver.

Lincoln Police officers arrested two men on Wednesday as a part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Representatives of LPD did not say if the arrest of Miyuki and Kaeylab Gonzales was connected to the arrests of Victor Gonzales and Robert Walkingbull.
