Much colder temperatures today 1/25/2022

We are off to a much colder start this morning! Temperatures this morning are around 40 degrees colder compared to at this time yesterday. Most of southeast NE is in the single digits with subzero wind chill values this morning. Make sure to bundle up and heat up your car before you head out the door. Temperatures struggle to warm into the afternoon today, with highs only in the low to mid-20s. Wind speeds will remain quiet today, but there will still be a light enough of a breeze to result in wind chill values in the teens. Temperatures plunge even further tonight, with most of the area hovering around zero degrees with wind chill values as cold as 15 degrees below zero. The return of southerly wind helps warm temperatures by the afternoon tomorrow, with highs warming back into the upper 30s and low 40s. Breezy conditions and above average temperatures hang around the next few days with the warmest day likely on Saturday.
