N-65 to undergo maintenance next month
Motorists should expect minor delays in early August
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska Department of Transportation will begin a chip seal project on N-65 starting on August 2, weather permitting.
Chip sealing is a light film of hot asphalt liquid sprayed on the road surface to protect the pavement from the effects of water and sun, increases skid resistance, fills minor cracks and other surface issues.
State maintenance teams will plan on sealing over two days, between reference post 11 to reference post 15. Traffic will be maintained with a pilot car and flaggers.
Motorists should exercise caution in and near work zones, buckle their seatbelts, and put phones down.
