NBA Summer League Welcoming Former Huskers
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The 2026 NBA Summer League is welcoming four former Huskers in Las Vegas.
Rienk Mast, Sam Hoiberg, Josiah Allick and Brice Williams will all be in motion in Las Vegas starting July 9. Mast and Hoiberg will be making professional debuts after their college careers.
Allick will be playing for the Charlotte Hornets. He played for the Huskers in 2023-2024. Afterwards, Allick played for the Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Hornets, and helped them to a title last season.
Hoiberg played for the Huskers from 2022-2026 under his father, head coach Fred Hoiberg. He will join the Pheonix Suns after a record-breaking and award-winning career with the Cornhuskers.
Mast will play with the Indiana Pacers following his Husker career from seasons 2023-2024 and 2025-2026. Mast was also a decorated player for the Husker basketball program.
Williams played for the Detroit Pistons in the 2025 Summer League and returns this year. He played with the Motor City Cruise, the NBA G League affiliate of the Pistons, after his Husker career. Williams played for the Huskers from 2023-2025 and helped the program win its first-ever College Basketball Crown championship.
The teams will play five games total with the championship game scheduled for July 19.
