Near normal to end the work week; Turning warmer for the weekend
A quiet day around southeast Nebraska Thursday, and I have not heard too many complaints. It has been a very “normal” day. The high temperature reached 87° in Lincoln, just a couple degrees shy of the normal high (89°).
The weather pattern will stay relatively quiet for the next several days. The overall trend is for temperatures to slowly increase as we go through the holiday weekend.
Highs for Friday, under mostly sunny skies, will top out in the upper 80°s. They will climb to near 90° Saturday. Then topping out around 92° both for the 4th of July and Monday.
Next chance for rain doesn’t return until Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
