Nearly 300 people were arrested, cited or warned in Lincoln’s end of school year crackdown
Police say there were more than 100 speeding citations alone around school zones this month
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — LPD’s annual “End of School” traffic enforcement kept officers extra busy over the last few weeks.
We’re told 291 people were either arrested, cited, or warned around school zones between May 2 and May 25.
That includes more than 100 speeding citations alone.
There were also dozens of seat belt citations, no valid registration citations and traffic violation warnings.
This was all funded using a grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
