Nebraska Ag Expo takes over the Lancaster Event Center

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska Ag Expo, the second-largest indoor ag expo in the country, is underway.

More than 760 exhibitors are bringing the latest in agriculture technology and equipment to the Lancaster Event Center.

One of the new areas at the expo this year is the innovation hub.

That’s where all the newest tech and farm supplies can be found.

“The industry is evolving,” said Cindy Feldman, the director of marketing for the Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association. “With gas prices and the quality of soil, you have to rethink things, and so there’s a lot of demand for organic farming, regenerative ag and autonomous equipment because of the labor shortage.”

Thursday at noon, former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns will speak at the education stage on what farmers can expect from the new 2023 farm bill.

Tickets to the event are $5 online and $10 at the door.

The event concludes Thursday and runs from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
