Nebraska animal shelter honors late Betty White with adoption promotion

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Nebraska animal shelter held an adoption event on Tuesday in honor of a beloved actress, well known for her commitment to animals.

The Nebraska Humane Society celebrated what would have been Betty White’s 101st birthday with an adoption promotion.

All adult dogs were $50, and all adult cats were “pick-your-purrice,” in which you decide what your adoption fee is.

Currently, the shelter has more than 100 adoptable dogs.

Adopters need to pay for a 2023 pet license at the time of adoption.
