Nebraska basketball’s Denim Dawson enters transfer portal

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska basketball’s Denim Dawson is the second Husker to enter the transfer portal this offseason, a university spokesman confirmed Wednesday.

Dawson, a redshirt freshman, spent two seasons with the Huskers before placing his name in the portal.

During his first season, the California native played on Nebraska’s scout team, along with Oleg Kojenets, who entered the transfer portal Tuesday.

The 6-foot-6 guard played in 28 games last season, finishing the season with 47 points, 49 rebounds, 12 assists and six blocks.

Against Ohio State, Dawson scored seven points and had a season-high eight rebounds in 30 minutes.

Nebraska’s season came to an end after the Huskers lost to Minnesota in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament last week.
