Nebraska dominates No. 8 Michigan, 79-58

Freshman Alexis Markowski led Nebraska women's basketball with 20 points to upset the 8th-ranked Wolverines.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska women’s basketball dominated No. 8 Michigan 79-58 on Tuesday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

The Huskers were led by freshman and Lincoln native Alexis Markowski who scored a career-high 20 points. This was Markowski’s first career start.

Nebraska outscored the Wolverines shooting 52% from the field compared to Michigan’s 37%. Jazz Shelly recorded 12 points while Sam Haiby scored 10.

This is the Huskers first win against a Top-10 opponent since 2014 against Duke.
