Nebraska eliminated from Big Ten tourney in nail-biter loss to Minnesota

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska rallied but still came up short against Minnesota on Wednesday night in the Big Ten Tournament in Chicago.

The Huskers were down by double digits early in the second half but battled back to set up a suspenseful ending.

Ultimately, the Golden Gophers won 78-75.

Minnesota shot 52%, compared with 44% for Nebraska.

Keisei Tominaga led Nebraska with 23 points.

Lincoln native Sam Griesel scored 16, and Derrick Walker and Jamarques Lawrence each added 12.

Griesel led the team in rebounds, with 12, and Walker recorded five assists.

Nebraska has not won a conference tournament game since 2019.
