LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska (4-7, 0-4 Big Ten) hosted Michigan State (7-3, 1-3) on Saturday. The Huskers looked to snap a three-game winning streak and earn their first conference win of this season. The Spartans headed to Lincoln on a three-game losing skid. That was the second time Michigan State had started 0-3 in Big Ten play during head coach Tom Izzo’s tenure.

The Huskers were able to cut a 17-point deficit down to five points, but the Spartans held on, and went on to win 84-77. NU shot 49 percent from the field and 47 percent from the arc. Teddy Allen racked up 19 of his 23 points in the second half to get the Husker comeback going. Trey McGowens finished with a season-high 20 points.

Nebraska is back in action on Tuesday. The Huskers head to West Lafayette to take on Purdue.
