Nebraska hospitals announce alliance to strengthen rural health care

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska Hospital Association and the Nebraska Rural Health Association are teaming up to amplify the voice of rural hospitals and health clinics across Nebraska.
The partnership aims to increase health care access and quality for more than 620,000 Nebraskans in rural communities.
“The Nebraska Hospital Association is advocating for our rural hospitals every day. The Nebraska Rural Health Association has a similar mission and a great understanding of health care in rural Nebraska,” said Jeremy Nordquist, president of the NHA. “Together, our organizations are going to give rural hospitals and health clinics the strongest voice they have ever had in our state Capitol.”
The associations will focus on advocating for rural health care providers, building coalitions to address rural disparities and improving health care quality.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for our two associations to bring together our collective strengths in meeting the needs of rural health care in the state,” said Jed Hansen, executive director of NRHA.
