LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska State Penitentiary inmate Daniel Holliday, 69, died on Wednesday, according to the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services.

Holliday began serving a sentence of 30 to 35 years in June 2011.

His charges, which included two counts of first-degree sexual assault and one count of visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct, were out of Dawson County.

The corrections department has not yet determined the cause of death.

As is the case whenever an inmate dies in custody, a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
