Nebraska loses Lincoln High wide receiver Beni Ngoyi to Iowa State

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Huskers have lost an in-state recruit after Lincoln High School’s Beni Ngoyi committed to Iowa State.

The 6-foot-4 receiver announced his commitment via Twitter on Wednesday.

Ngoyi thanked his Lincoln High staff and coaches for helping him develop as an athlete and a student.

The future Cyclone also earned offers from Washington, Minnesota and Kansas.

Associate Huskers head coach Mickey Joseph, who has had a hand in recruiting several players in the 2023 class, tried to get the three-star receiver on the team, according to 247Sports.

Despite not being able to acquire Ngoyi, Nebraska has still been able to earn commitments from 2023 receivers Omarion Miller, Jaidyn Doss and Barry Jackson.
