Nebraska softball holds first practice outside in January

The Huskers took advantage of the unusual warm weather holding their first practice of the season outside at Bowlin Stadium.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Huskers first preseason practice typically takes place inside the Alex Gordon Training Complex. But, this mid-January Wednesday brought clear skies and warm weather allowing Nebraska softball to play outside on the field at Bowlin Stadium.

“We’ve been out in January before but not on day one from what I can remember,” said head coach Rhonda Revelle. “Today is golden for them.”

The Huskers open the 2022 season February 11-13th at the UNI Dome Tournament in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
