Nebraska State Capitol to close for Thanksgiving holiday

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — If you try visiting the Nebraska State Capitol this week, you might find that the doors are locked.

The Capitol will be closed to the public on Thanksgiving and Friday, according to the Capitol Tour Office.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Capitol will be open for visitors. It opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday and at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Tours will be available on the hour, with the exception of noon, until the Capitol closes at 5 p.m.

Weather permitting, the 14th floor observation deck will be open to the public while the Capitol is open.
