LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – On Friday afternoon, representatives of Sen. Brett Lindstrom confirmed information in an Omaha World-Herald article regarding the unexpected death of his brother, Tyler Lindstrom.

Tyler Lindstrom, 39, was found dead in the kitchen of his Austin, Texas, home after neighbors called for a welfare check on Tuesday.

An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of his death.  His body will be sent back to Nebraska to be buried in Oakland next week.

According to the senator, Tyler was between jobs and was living in several states at the time of his death.

He had recently settled in Austin and “felt at home” in Texas, the senator told the World-Herald.

The senator said that Tyler often kept in close contact with their parents but that they had recently gone on vacation and had not heard from him in several days.
