Nebraska Treasurer begins auction of safe deposit box contents

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Today, Oct. 6 at 8 a.m., the Nebraska State Treasurer’s Office began their auction on eBay of abandoned safe deposit box contents.

The auction consists of multiple items including diamond rings, collectable coins, jewelry, trading cards and more.

Bids will be accepted for an entire week.

Nebraska State Treasurer Joey Spellerberg said the proceeds from each sale will be recorded in the original owner’s name. The money will stay in the owner’s name until claimed by rightful owners.
