Nebraska troopers arrest 12 drivers on suspicion of DUI in St. Patrick’s Day campaign

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Troopers stopped 12 impaired drivers during the Nebraska State Patrol’s St. Patrick’s Day enforcement campaign last week.
The campaign, which ran from Thursday to Saturday, hoped to curb impaired driving during the holiday.
Troopers arrested 12 drivers on suspicion of driving under the influence over the three-day campaign, the patrol says.
In addition, troopers also cited 144 drivers on suspicion of speeding, according to the patrol.
The enforcement campaign was funded by the Nebraska Department of Transportation’s highway safety office.
