Nebraska troopers arrest prison employee in sexual assault of co-worker

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Troopers arrested a state correctional employee on Monday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a co-worker, the Nebraska State Patrol said.
In October, investigators received a report from the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services regarding an assault.
The assault happened at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution, the patrol said.
On Monday, investigators arrested 33-year-old James Cherry at his home in Humboldt, according to the patrol.
He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault and third-degree sexual assault. Cherry was lodged in the Johnson County Jail.
